The dragons stepped out onto the pitch with chills running through their spines. We had a strong start with majority of possession and managed to win a short corner; with Annabel’s Armitage lovely injection and Nadine’s Curtis dichotomy hit of power and grace led to 1-0 to dragons! However, this was countered by the dragons conceding an unlucky goal which resulted in 1-1 at half time. The hail started at the end of half time, distracting the team leading to an early goal for St Ives. Their third goal came from a short corner which unfortunately deflected off Eliana’s Russo's pads. However, the Dragons didn’t give up. They pushed harder for another goal and by Flo Dexter's swift assist, Liv Portlockmanaged to luckily tap the ball into the goal. With the score now 3-2, the Dragons wanted to equalise the score. Despite their determination, St Ives managed to secure a final goal, making the final result 2-4.
