The Dragons ventured to Kings Lynn on a gloomy, ominous winter morning. Full of determination, the Dragons set off on the slippery pitch with a strong start. To the Dragon’s dismay, they conceded a 4 of goals in the first half, but with steely resilience they gathered themselves at half time to come back even stronger in the second half. Thanks to some tough defending and speedy midfielders, the Dragons had more opportunities in the attacking D but unfortunately could not convert them into goals. The Dragons were unlucky not to score goals from the multiple short corners rewarded, due to the immense pressure from the Pelicans. The Pelicans scored a further 2 goals in the second half, one from a penalty flick and another that cheekily swept past our defenders from a short corner. Despite being beaten, in the words of Vince Lombardi, “It’s not whether you get knocked down; it’s whether you get up.”
