The postponed fixture got underway with a blistering start from the Dragons whose clinical passing set up some good chances on goal and kept COP largely in their own half. COP regrouped and started to create their own attacks and for a while the play was end to end. Giving away a short corner, COP attacked strongly and scored. The Dragons weren’t able to pick themselves up quickly enough and a second goal from another short corner followed soon afterwards. COP continued their pressure, and although the defence worked hard to neutralise their attacks it was 3 nil down by the break.
The Dragons came back stronger after half time and there was clinical passing and attacks from both teams. 20 minutes into the half the passing between the forwards resulted in a well taken goal by Flo Dexter. The Dragons continued to play as an effective team, setting up further chances as the stronger team in this half, but unfortunately the score remained 3-1 at the end.
MOM jointly to Carol Murray and Keira Maxey.
