BDHC L1s played home against Newmarket. Unfortunately coming away with a loss despite the team battling to the final whistle. First half saw Libby put away a goal, assisted by Becky Warters. However Newmarket were awarded a penalty flick which they sadly put away. We had a number of both attacking and defending shorts which we had practiced in the training session before as well as Alessia Russo nicely laying the ball on the oppositions foot on occasion giving plenty of opportunity to be in the attacking D. Norah Brill heard a comment at half time from the opposition that the defence were holding strong throughout and the ball was being played up the pitch with short, sharp passes, lots of gelling as a team being there to support one another throughout the game. Lots of positives to take away from the match and into the coming training sessions and matches, well done ladies 1s.
